For over 30 years Twin Power has built on a legacy of dependability and unquestionable power, and the latest Twin Power is no different. With extensive use of ultra light, super rigid aluminium in the body and rotor, plus Shimano’s very latest and most advanced gearing technology, this is a reel that can be totally trusted in the toughest situations.
If you are the type of angler who doesn’t compromise on your tackle, you are going to find the Twin Power the perfect choice. The ultra lightweight feel belies the undoubted strength and rigidity of the Twin Power, making it perfect for fishing with high resistance lures that require the most efficient winding power to work at maximum performance. Whilst other reels sometimes sacrifice weight for strength, or vice versa, the Twin Power offers you the best of both worlds in one stunning package. Select from a wide range of sizes, from the small but perfectly formed 2000, to a powerful 5000, including weight saving compact body versions. High and extra high gear options are available if you prefer your reels to have speed to burn.
Featuring the latest HAGANE technology, including HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Micro Module II and Silent Drive components, the Twin Power also benefits from Shimano’s three exclusive "INFINITY" technologies (INFINITYLOOP, INFINITYXROSS, INFINITY DRIVE). In use you can’t fail to notice the powerfully smooth feeling as the gears mesh perfectly together. And when playing fish, the peerless Duracross Drag installs confidence rarely experienced, especially in critical situations. If you fish crankbaits, or softbaits at range, you’ll certainly benefit from the addition of the advanced Long Stoke AR-C Spool combination, which is proven to increase casting distance and accuracy and the faultless line management of Anti-Twist Fin that prevents slack line between the line roller and spool when stopping and starting a retrieve.
