Shimano Tranx - Power Baitcaster for Trophy Predator Fish
The Tranx stands for power and durability like no other low-profile baitcaster. Its uncompromising cranking power and high-performance Cross Carbon Drag system set it apart from the crowd, putting it in a league of its own. Originally developed to stand up to trophy muskies, this reel delivers enormous power exactly when it's needed most - the ideal choice for anyone who wants to confidently target monster fish.
Despite its serious power, the Tranx feels remarkably slim and compact in the hand. The 301 size with double handle retrieves an effortless 78 cm of line per crank, while the fast High-Gear (HG) version, with its powerful Power Handle, retrieves an impressive 103 cm per turn. The Tranx is offered with a standard 5.8:1 gear ratio for both right- and left-handed anglers, plus a 7.6:1 High-Gear ratio for left-handed anglers, so every preference is covered.
