Especially popular among fat perch. A rubber bait is pulled onto the hook. The frills (skirts) change the motion of the rubber bait creating a natural-looking effect for the fish. Especially in heavily fished waters, the predators are not yet familiar with this lure action and attack the Skirt Jig. When the Skirt Jig is jigged slowly along the bed surface, the frills mimic the defensive behaviour of crayfish as they waggle their claws to ward off danger.
