Balzer Shirasu Cast 7200 L: Ultra-Light Performance for Demanding Baitcasters
The Balzer Shirasu Cast 7200 L is the consistent evolution of the popular Micro Cast series—now in a larger, even more powerful version. Built from a state-of-the-art nylon/carbon composite, this left-hand reel combines extreme lightness with impressive torsional rigidity. To save every possible gram without sacrificing stability, it features an aluminum drive shaft and an elegant carbon-fiber handle. Thanks to its saltwater-resistant construction, it’s not only a reliable partner for perch and zander in freshwater, but also for light coastal use.
Technically, the Shirasu Cast impresses with maximum precision: the finely adjustable magnetic braking system controls the aluminum spool perfectly during the cast and effectively prevents backlashes. In the fight, high-quality carbon drag washers with a drag force of 7 kg ensure a completely smooth line release. With a total of 6 stainless-steel ball bearings plus one needle bearing, the reel runs silky-smooth. The 6.6:1 gear ratio provides the ideal mix of retrieval speed and cranking power. If you’re looking for a technically refined, featherlight baitcasting reel with a first-class braking system, the Shirasu Cast 7200 L will impress.
