Shimano Zodias - Hi-Power X Carbon: Performance Far Beyond Its Price Class
The subtle tap of a zander bite at the deepest point of your jigging retrieve, the raw power needed to work a big spinnerbait against the current - the Shimano Zodias makes it all perceptible. Built around Shimano's proven Hi-Power X Carbon technology, this rod transmits even the faintest vibrations directly into your hand, giving you the control needed for precise twitching, jerking and soft bait work. Whether you're throwing long casts with thin braid or vertical fishing in deep, flowing water, the Zodias is the rod that thinks with you. Designed by Shimano with an uncompromising focus on functionality, it delivers performance that far exceeds its price point.
The foundation of the Zodias is its Hi-Power X Carbon blank with matte finish, which reduces blank twist, enhances casting accuracy and delivers optimal power transfer along the full rod length - resulting in greater casting distance and more precise lure control. The lightweight CI4+ reel seat and Carbon Monocoque grip work as a perfectly matched pair: maximum sensitivity meets secure reel hold and immediate feedback even on subtle bites. Smaller Fuji Alconite guides with optimized spacing protect your braid, improve overall balance and ensure tangle-free casting with thin lines. The series covers Regular and Fast Action tapers across 4 casting and 9 spinning models - all two-piece for maximum versatility and easy transport. From finesse techniques for perch and pike-perch to powerful models for pike and asp, the Zodias covers the full spectrum of predator fishing.
